A nice balance of talent is spread throughout this year's lineup for the Fliers who are coming off a school record 18 wins in 2011.
The bottom half of the lineup features four wrestlers with 19 or more wins, including District champion Karl Waldron and 3rd place finisher Sekou Harris. Along with fellow juniors Isaiah Haymon and Jose Caraballo, this will be the strength of the Scarlet Fliers lineup.
Up top, Neptune must replace four year starter Phil Seidle who graduated with 84 career wins and a pair of District titles. His younger brother John and his fellow junior Dae'Sean Brown are two more members of the 'Tunes Junior Six Pack that should do a great job in providing wins up top while several newcomers slide into some of the upperweight spots.
The aforementioned Six Pack (Haymon, Waldron, Carabballo, Harris, Brown, and Seidle) will be the keys to just how far the Fliers can go in 2012. Given their win totals in 2011, they are a great group for Coach Jobes to construct his lineup around. There is potential for all six to hit the 25+ win mark this season, something not too many teams will be able to achieve. If the newcomers and remaining returners really step it up, Neptune is going to be a very tough out for a lot of teams and could even hit the 20+ win total as a team.
Wrestler To Watch - The Six Pack
As mentioned, this group had terrific sophomore seasons and they put in the work in the off-season to get even better. This group has the ability to give the Scarlet Fliers their best season in years. And with only a few seniors cracking the lineup, this is a team that could be VERY good in 2013. Another team to keep a close eye on this year.
